Seoul April 2017: Grilled Cheese Lobster at Myeongdong
Myeongdong is famous for shopping and street food. When doing my research for Seoul, grilled cheese lobster was one of the highlighted foods to try. This dish definitely caught my husband's eye as we were wandering around Myeongdong as he likes seafood.
So the fresh lobster is first grilled with some butter, before cheese is scattered over it.
The cheese is then melted under an infrared lamp until slightly brown.
And ta-da! It's served!
It's quite hot, so be careful when you receive it from the stall owner. The cheese is melted and gooey, while the lobster flesh is succulent and juicy. There is no seasoning other than the slight savoury taste from the cheese and the natural sweetness from the lobster.
