Tarts Baking Class

So.. another baking class? Truth is, I signed up for 2 baking classes in one shot! Crazy, huh?

The following weekend (from the Petite Cakes class) I was back at CulinaryOn studios again for my tarts class!

As it is a tarts class, we made lots of tart cases which are mainly either shortcrust pastry or sweet pastry, and that's why you can see in the ingredients above that there is a lot of flour everywhere.

So we learnt to bake / make these in the class:

Red Velvet Log Cake
Chocolate Tart
Hokkaido Cheese Tart
Lemon Meringue Tart
Cherry Tart (or Clafoutis)

We spent much of the morning preparing the tart bases for all the different tarts and also baking the red velvet sponge for the log cake. After an intensive morning in arm power, it was time for lunch!

Did I mention that lunch is provided? Lunch was prepared onsite by the assistant chef while we were preparing the tarts! A refreshing veggie pasta with tomato sauce... mmmm... makes me hungry just thinking about it.

After lunch, more rolling out of tart cases and assembling the tarts!

Hokkaido Cheese tart baking in progress! I'm not a fan of Hokkaido Cheese tart (yeah I'm strange) but majority of my classmates were!!

Our finished products!!

If you like baking, I definitely recommend these classes! Who knows, you might even make a new friend, or two!
